Diary Entry #3: A Higher Self

Neena Brostowski

Dear Diary,

Lately, I’ve been diving deeper into understanding myself—not just through Human Design but through astrology as well. I have discovered that I am a Pisces Stellium—with my Sun, Moon, Mercury, and Venus all in Pisces and that I am a Reflector by Human Design. It feels affirming to see myself mirrored in these systems and to finally lean into the truths they’ve revealed.

As a Reflector, I mirror the energies of the world around me, and my Pisces placements amplify this ability, allowing me to be in tune with the environments in my life. It’s a reminder that I am here to mirror the world around me, sensing its alignment and its truths.

When I connect these insights, it all starts to make sense. My Pisces energy enhances my natural Reflector tendencies. I feel things deeply—sometimes overwhelmingly so—but it’s also what gives me my unique perspective. I can see what others can’t, feel the undercurrents in relationships and environments, and offer guidance when it’s needed. It’s a gift I’m learning to cherish, even as I navigate the challenges that come with it.

Finding My Rhythm

This past year has been a rollercoaster, filled with moments of self-discovery and, honestly, a few growing pains. As a Reflector, my decision-making process is tied to the lunar cycle, and while this can feel slower compared to others, I’ve learned to trust it. Waiting through a full moon cycle gives me the clarity and confidence to know what’s truly right for me. Pair that with the dreamy, intuitive pull of my Pisces stellium, and I’ve realized how important it is to follow my inner rhythm, no matter how different it might seem to the outside world.

At the same time, I’ve also embraced my role as the “reluctant hero.” My 2/5 profile in Human Design means others often see my strengths before I do, pulling me into situations where I’m asked to guide or problem-solve. Whether I like it or not, I’m often looked to for leadership—and I’m learning to step into that role when it feels aligned.

Living in Alignment

As I move forward, I’ve realized that my biggest lesson this past year has been learning to protect my energy. Being open to the world means I absorb a lot, and not everything I take in is mine to carry. Setting boundaries, saying no, and prioritizing environments and people who feel aligned have become non-negotiables.

This past year, I’ve also come to see how much joy and surprise are central to my life’s purpose. Reflectors thrive on spontaneity, on letting life unfold naturally, and my Pisces stellium enhances that sense of wonder. When I lean into the unexpected—whether it’s an opportunity, a relationship, or a creative idea—I feel most alive.

Looking Ahead

As I step further into 2025, I’m excited for what life will bring my way. I know there will be challenges, but I feel more equipped than ever to navigate them with grace and intention. Whether it’s trusting my intuition, leaning on my natural Reflector abilities, or simply allowing life to surprise me, I’m ready to embrace whatever comes next.

This past year, I learned so much about myself. I’m dreaming big, setting intentions, and creating space for alignment, creativity, and connection.

xoxo,

Neena
