A Chocolatey Meal Prep Snack That Feels Like Dessert

This Dreamy, Creamy Chocolate Chia Pudding is for the days when you want something sweet, chocolatey, and satisfying, but you also want it to do a little more for you than just taste good.

It’s rich from the cocoa, naturally sweetened with honey or maple syrup, thickened with chia seeds.

This one is perfect for meal prep, a quick breakfast, an afternoon sweet treat, or a little fridge dessert when the chocolate craving hits.

🛑 Before You Start

The magic here is in the resting time. Chia seeds need time to thicken, so make this at least a few hours ahead, or the night before if you want it ready to go.

For the creamiest texture, blend it after it thickens.

What You’ll Need

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 sachet Beck's Broth Protein Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate (*optional)
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 3 cups Greek yogurt
  • 1 2/3 cups (400ml) milk of choice
  • 1/2 cup chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed

Optional toppings

  • Fresh berries
  • Cacao nibs
  • Chocolate chips
  • Coconut flakes
  • Drizzle of peanut butter or almond butter

How To Make It

    1. Mix the base
In a large bowl or blender, combine the Greek yogurt, milk of choice, cocoa powder, honey or maple syrup, vanilla, salt, and Beck’s Broth Protein Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate, if using. Whisk or blend until smooth and fully combined.
    2. Add the seeds
Stir in the chia seeds and ground flaxseed. Mix really well so the chia seeds don’t clump at the bottom.
    3. Let it sit
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 to 3 hours, or overnight, until thickened.
    4. Blend for creamy texture
Once thickened, blend the pudding until smooth and creamy. You can use a high-speed blender or food processor.
    5. Portion and serve
Spoon into jars or bowls and top with fresh berries, cacao nibs, chocolate chips, coconut flakes, or a drizzle of peanut butter or almond butter.

    Make It Your Own

    • Use coconut milk for a richer pudding.
    • Use almond or oat milk for a lighter version.
    • Add a scoop of protein powder for extra staying power.
    • Add espresso or instant coffee for a mocha version.
    • Add frozen cherries for a black forest vibe.

    Why You’ll Love It

    • It tastes like chocolate pudding.
    • It’s easy to meal prep.
    • It’s packed with fiber from chia and flax.
    • It’s naturally sweetened.

You spend five minutes mixing everything together, throw it in the fridge, and suddenly you have a creamy chocolate snack waiting for you when the craving hits. Low effort, high reward, very much the energy we’re bringing into the kitchen.
